After checking out, we visited the birthplace of Sen-no-Rikyu. The location was slightly disappointing. If not for the sign, we might have simply passed it by.
An area dedicated to Sen-no-Rikyu.

From the temple, we set out on yet another 道の駅 expedition.
This station was quite cute, being run by two sweet ladies who kindly assisted me in stamping my book.
Melon-flavored soft cream!
My lunch of curry rice along the way.
On the way home, we drove through the city. Scary!
A SUPERCOOL Hanshin Tigers cab pulled up next to us at a stoplight. What I love most about 道の駅ドライブ is that it carries us to parts of Japan that we might otherwise never explore.
More later, gnomies.
