A new weblog feels appropriate in my anticipation of many new experiences in Japan as a participant in the JET Program. Having never even lived on my own, even the simple act of paying rent will be an adventure!
I'm beginning this writing not only as a means of recording what I will see and learn in the next year, but also as a mode of communicating my goings-on to family and friends without force-feeding them massive e-mails.
I can hardly believe that we leave in less than a month. How do I pack up my entire life into two suitcases?
